Children painting and learning at Little Steps

Now enrolling ages 1–6

Where curiosity grows and little learners shine

A warm, play-based home away from home in Riverside β€” where every giggle, question, and finger-painting is the start of something wonderful.

Welcome to Little Steps

Big adventures begin with little steps

Little Steps is a warm, play-based kindergarten and childcare center where children ages 1 to 6 explore, create, and grow through hands-on learning and joyful discovery.

Our bright, sunny classrooms and fenced outdoor garden give children the room to wonder, the safety to take risks, and the encouragement to try, try again. Low ratios mean every child is truly known by name.

Why families choose Little Steps

Everything we do is built around how young children actually learn β€” through play, relationships, and joyful repetition.

🎨

Play-based learning

Children learn best by doing. Our days are full of art, blocks, sensory bins, and pretend play that quietly build literacy, math, and big ideas.

🀝

Low child-to-teacher ratios

Small groups mean more lap time, more eye contact, and more “I see you.” Every child is known, welcomed, and gently challenged.

🌱

Whole-child growth

Kindness, curiosity, and confidence matter as much as ABCs. We nurture social-emotional skills alongside school readiness.
